Private IoT infrastructure

WilTech
at the edge

A self-hosted mesh for sensors, telemetry, and home automation. Encrypted in transit. Routed through a tunnel. No inbound ports on the public internet.

Most IoT phones home to someone else

Vendor clouds, mystery firmware, and always-on outbound chatter. WilTech is the other model: your devices, your broker, your store, your screens.

01 — Sense

The room talks

Temperature, humidity, air quality, and presence collected at the edge and published into a private message bus.

02 — See

History, live

Readings land in time-series storage and surface as charts for people who are supposed to see them — not the open web.

03 — Steer

House under local control

Automation stays on the private network. Remote reach is a locked tunnel, not a forwarded port.

A quiet stack behind the wall

This is a private plant with a public calling card: sensors in, encrypted pipe, authorised eyes on the other side.

Ingress
Zero open inbound ports. Cloudflare Tunnel outbound only.
Transport
MQTT over WSS on 443. Anonymous clients refused.
Custody
Self-hosted. Data stays on hardware WilTech operates.
Access
Identity in front of dashboards. A few public extras live on this face of the site.
Field

Sensors

ESP-class nodes on the IoT LAN. They publish; they do not expose a public UI.

Bus

Messaging

Authenticated MQTT, topic ACLs, TLS at the edge of the tunnel.

Plant

Ingest & store

Flows persist metrics. Home automation stays on the same private fabric.

Glass

Dashboards

Live and historical views for authorised operators only.

Built to run, not to rent

Authorised operators go through the dashboard. Everyone else can see the public extras. The stack is live and iterating.

Dashboard
Metrics and visualisations. Login required.

Yahtzee
A public extra on the same host.

Cocktails
Another public extra. Not part of the private mesh.
